Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lumeli application and website (together, the "Service"), operated by Papertelevision LLC ("Lumeli," "we," "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

2. Private beta

Lumeli is currently offered as an invite-only private beta. By participating, you understand and agree that:

  • It's early software. The Service is provided on a pre-release basis, may contain bugs or errors, and may not operate reliably or without interruption.
  • It's free during the beta, and we may introduce paid plans in the future. Access is provided at our discretion and may be limited, suspended, or ended at any time.
  • Features may change. We may add, modify, or remove features, or discontinue the beta entirely, without notice.
  • You are responsible for your data and your account. Lumeli connects to your live Google account and can act on your mailbox when you direct it to. You should not rely on the Service for anything critical, and you remain responsible for reviewing actions taken through it.
  • The invite code is personal. The invite code we issue is for your use; don't share it.

3. Feedback

We welcome your feedback. If you send us suggestions, ideas, or bug reports, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them to improve the Service, without any obligation to you.

4. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Have a valid Google account that you're authorized to connect; and
  • Comply with Google's applicable terms of service.

5. License & acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms or any third-party terms (including Google's);
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it;
  • Resell, sublicense, or share your access or invite code.

6. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Google (Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Meet, Contacts) and our AI provider, Anthropic. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability or behavior is outside our control.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that AI-generated output (such as identified tasks, summaries, or drafts) will be accurate or complete. You are responsible for reviewing anything the Service surfaces or drafts before relying on or sending it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Papertelevision LLC and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to USD $100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Papertelevision LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting your account and deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 7, 8, and 9) will survive.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Ohio.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
